What is the real trip

There is a difference in the knowledge of a new country and a new culture when you travel alone or in company. Traveling with someone, you give some of your attention to the person. When travelling, I have noticed how distracting even taking photos might be. When I look through the camera, I cannot see the whole picture, only the fragment that I try to capture. As a result, I look at the trip through the photos and do not always recognize the place.

Only if you decide to travel independently, without a friend, a family without organizing your trip by a travel agency or host, only then can you feel the place and get your portion of the culture shock. Only when you deprive yourself of the comfort of communication with the familiar circle, you are forced to make all the decisions on your own, you absolutely enter the place and time, only then are you there and now.

I tell everyone that I am an avid traveler that I live between countries, that I don't even understand which country and culture I belong to, but in fact I almost never went on a trip on my own. Even when I traveled alone, conference organizers, partners, language schools, travel agencies planned all my trips. Only then I am able to say that I made the trip myself when I book my accommodation, a ticket and leave for the unknown.

Then I will write a book about my trip.
